I had been dreaming about Big Sur and it was the most magical trip ever where I could just feel my heart at peace. We drove up the coast, and finished our trip in the stunning Point Reyes. Point Reyes is such a peaceful, stunning preserved area of nature north of San Francisco that many people pass for the big city. Flower fields, meaderies, long-stretching coastline and delicious local food make this one of my favorite places in California. Have you visited Point Reyes or Big Sur?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Happy Father’s Day to the most ridiculous funny, intelligent, and dang good cook of a father I have! He’s been the best travel partner and the person that inspires me in the kitchen the most in my life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀For example, this is golden seared rabbit leg with a mushroom tagliatelle and a creamy sauce inspired by Jaques Pepin. This is the stuff my dad loves to eat and thankfully cook! Shoutout to all the dads and fatherly figures today that us lucky kids get to look up to and learn from in so many ways! #happyfathersday

Literally not an ad but I combined my two favorites: @simplemills and @theochocolate and made these sea salt almond flour chocolate chip thumbprint cookies. It’s this kind of stuff that gets me through the world these days.

If I could dedicate my entire feed to one food, it would be without a doubt pizza. Pizza in Rome, Pizza in New York, even pizza in Austin, I will never say no to pizza with all the toppings. When I grow up to be rich with a giant house, you bet I’m getting a wood-fired pizza oven installed. For now, I revert to this @caulipower pizza crust topped with @raoshomemade margherita sauce, fresh mozzarella, red peppers, artichokes, kalamata olives, and fresh basil.

Underrated baking ingredient: mascarpone. Tiramisu was my go-to mascarpone-filled dessert growing up, but that might have to step aside for this gluten free mascarpone loaf with a lemon mascarpone glaze. And if there was no loaf, well, I'd be fine with just the glaze. Recipe coming soon!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A few weeks ago when it was my parents anniversary

A few weeks ago when it was my parents anniversary, I asked them what the key to 30 years of marriage was. They both looked at each other, then looked at me and said, "a short memory". ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀And while a short memory may be key to a long marriage, it's a long memory that I am grateful to have, bursting with delicious dishes that my parents have cooked, anything from mac n' cheese to pan-seared duck with a cauliflower mash. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀What's some of your favorite home-cooked meals?

Essaouira, Morocco/10.2016/some seafood stand on the water ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀#TravelTuesday: My friend Leo and I took a bus early morning from Morocco to Essaouira, a port city on Morocco's Atlantic Coast. Seafood is my absolute favorite and I'm so glad I was with someone willing to eat their weight in fresh-caught seafood with me. The way we ordered was looking at a giant booth filled with live seafood, pointed at what we wanted, and they grilled it right then and there for us. Straight from the sea to our plate, the ultimate sea-to-table dining.
