Seared Halloumi With Pistachios and Pomegranate Molasses

Just in time for holiday hosting! Serve this seared halloumi and pomegranate with pistachios as a holiday appetizer or vegetarian snack.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz halloumi
  • 2 oz pomegranate seeds
  • 2 oz pistachios toasted
  • 4 tbsp olive oil divided in half
  • 2 tbsp pomeganate molasses honey or maple syrup also works
  • 4-6 slices baguette
  • sea salt for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Slice baguette into multiple rounds. Toast in butter on frying pan or in toaster. Set aside
  • Pat halloumi dry and slice into 4-6 rounds.
  • Turn frying pan on to medium high heat. Add 2 oz of olive oil.
  • Fry halloumi on both sides until golden brown, about 2 minutes on both sides.
  • Remove from heat and plate halloumi on serving tray.
  • Sprinkle pistachips, pomegranate seeds, pomegranate molasses and remaing olive oil on top.
  • Finish with sea salt and serve with bread.

Notes

You can replace the pistachios with preferred nut or seed like walnuts or pumpkin seeds.
