Salty, sweet, and crunchy, the perfect trio to please even the pickiest of eaters!
If you need a swap, pick your favorite nut like walnuts or seeds like pumpkin seeds, and if you don’t have pomegranate molasses, try honey or maple syrup. Or you can make your own! The possibilities are endless!
Seared Halloumi With Pistachios and Pomegranate Molasses
Ingredients
- 8 oz halloumi
- 2 oz pomegranate seeds
- 2 oz pistachios toasted
- 4 tbsp olive oil divided in half
- 2 tbsp pomeganate molasses honey or maple syrup also works
- 4-6 slices baguette
- sea salt for garnish
Instructions
- Slice baguette into multiple rounds. Toast in butter on frying pan or in toaster. Set aside
- Pat halloumi dry and slice into 4-6 rounds.
- Turn frying pan on to medium high heat. Add 2 oz of olive oil.
- Fry halloumi on both sides until golden brown, about 2 minutes on both sides.
- Remove from heat and plate halloumi on serving tray.
- Sprinkle pistachips, pomegranate seeds, pomegranate molasses and remaing olive oil on top.
- Finish with sea salt and serve with bread.
